Commentary | Sancho, pointing to don Quixote, introduces him to the Duchess, who rides a white horse and holds a goshawk (accurate to Cervantes' text).
Just one maiden accompanies the Duchess; in other illustrations, her retinue is larger. Poor engraving, but acceptable. |
