Commentary At Sierra Morena, Cardenio tells his story to don Quixote, Sancho and a goatherd.
Illustration in keeping with 18th century English liking for dialogues and bucolic scenes; it is not represented the next fight among these same characters.
The quality of drawing and engraving is unequal; don Quixote's figure is remarkable, but Cardenio, Sancho and the goatherd are clumsier.
Notes 1 - Same illustration and plate first published in London: Harrison & Co., 1782.
2 - Plate XIV according to the order of publishing (June 8, 1782), not the chapter order.
