Commentary | In Sierra Morena, before Sancho leaves for El Toboso mounted on Rocinante to take to Dulcinea don Quixote's love letter, the knight makes some somersaults (love penance).
Accurate to Cervantes' text, Sancho holds a broom bunch. Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657). Good engraving. |
