Commentary | Two different scenes in the same illustration (archaic):
In the foreground, Sancho's blanketing at Juan Palomeque's inn is observed by don Quixote from behind the inn wall. In the background, don Quixote fighting with a flock of sheep. Simple composition that will be used until the 20th century. Acceptable drawing, but poor engraving and printing. |
