Commentary | Don Quixote, asleep, attacks the wineskins (represented without movement).
Accurate details: "estaba en camisa, la cual no era tan cumplida, que por delante no le acabase de cubrir los muslos, y por detrás tenía seis dedos menos; las piernas eran muy largas y flacas, llenas de vello y no nada limpias; tenía en la cabeza un bonetillo [...]. En el brazo izquierdo tenía revuelta una manta de la cama [...], y en la derecha, desenvainada la espada" (35:1). The barber arrives with a bucket of water to wake up don Quixote. Also in the scene, the innkeeper honding a little lamp and the priest. Drawing and engraving are not too much remarkable, but acceptable. |
