| Commentary | Well-known scene.
In the foreground, don Quixote has defeated the Knight of the Mirrors (Sansón Carrasco, fallen on the ground); notice don Quixote's threatening face and gesture. On the right, the Knight of the Mirrors' squire (Tomé Cecial) shows to don Quixote his big fake nose and lifts Sansón Carrasco's helmet visor. On the left, Sancho observing the scene. Drawing and engraving of unequal quality; don Quixote and the Knight of the Mirrors are acceptable. |
