Commentary Don Quixote defeating the Knight of the Mirrors (Sansón Carasco).
In the background, Sancho and the Knight of the Mirrors' squire (Tomé Cecial)?.
Drawing and engraving done to look archaic.
Notes 1 - Copied after the illustration for Barcelona: Juan Jolis, 1755 (and 1762), copied after Madrid: Antonio Sanz, 1735, badly copied after Diego de Obregón’s illustration (Madrid: Andrés García de la Iglesia, 1674).
2 – In the early editions, the same wooden block was also used to represent "Don Quixote defeated by the Knight of the White Moon" (64:2), so the characters in the background are Sancho, don Antonio and the viceroy 14:2); in the current edition, different illustrations (with light changes) have been drawn for each chapter.
3 - Obregón did not illustrate episode 14:2.
4 - It has not been copied the illustration for chapter 14:2 that appeared in Madrid: Antonio Sanz, 1735.
