The figures of Andrés and Juan haldudo are remarkable, with excellent drawing and engraving (see shading in Andrés' body; excellent figure). highly-detailed engraving (see trees, shading in clouds...). Rocinante's movement is forced. |
| Notes | Francis Engleheart (London, 1775 – London, 1849): Engraver. He was a disciple of the engraver Joseph Collyer (London, 1748 - ¿?, 1827) and worked as an assistant of the burin engraver James Heath (London, 1757 – London, 1834. He engraved several book illustrations, being remarkable these for Don Quixote. Some of his engravings are: The only daughter after Sir David Wilkies, The Castle after Cook, Cupid and the Nymphs after W. Hilton and The Holy Family after Fra Bartolommeo (Benezit IV, 166). |
