Commentary Don Quixote falls from Rocinante and remains hanged and tied by his hand to an inn window when four travelers (servants of don Luis' father) arrive to the inn.
The innkeeper appears to discover who is crying.
Maritornes is ready to untie don Quixote, but the innkeeper's daughter should not appear in the window too.
Composition based on Bouttats' (Amberes: Verdussen, 1672 - 1673), but turned.
Drawing and engraving are poor.
Notes 1 - Indication "Page 243" given in the illustration, but the textual reference appears in Part I, Book IV, Chapter XVI, p. 238.
