Commentary Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657).
Well-resolved composition; don Quixote attacks Maese Pedro's theater before an astonished public.
Drawing and engraving are acceptable, but not too much good.
Notes 1 - This illustration is not copied after Lebarbier and Lefebvre's designs for Paris: Didot-Deterville, 1799 (as all the other vignettes are), but after Antonio Carnicero's illustration for Madrid: Ibarra, 1780, copied with many fewer details.
2 - Same plate first engraved for Paris: Renouard, 1812.
