	Title Caption	Es begab sich, dass Don Quixote, als er gegen Abend aus einem Walde ritt, auf einer grunen Wiese einen Haufen Menschen erblickte, die er sogleich für Falconiers erkannte.- Unter mehreren Damen bemerkte er eine sehr schöne in grünen Jagdkleide, auf einem schneeweissen Zelter, und reich mit Silber gesticktem Sattel. Da befahl er Sancho vor zutreten um in seinem Nahmen um Audienz zu bitten. Die Dame willigte in des Knappen umstaendliches Ansuchen, und lud den Ritter zu sich auf das Schloss ihres Gemahls.

	Commentary	Sancho, pointing to don Quixote, introduces him to the Duchess, who rides a white horse and holds a goshawk (accurate to Cervantes' text). Just one maiden accompanies the Duchess; in other illustrations, her retinue is larger. Since Paris: Surugue, 1723, this gallant scene, with not many changes, is habitual in 18th and 19th centuries editions. Engraving of great quality. Drawing with some disproportions (between the Duchess and her horse, for example).
