Commentary This scene alludes to what Sancho tells to the priest and the barber about how he had found don Quixote; "desnudo en camisa, flaco, amarillo y muerto de hambre, y suspirando por su señora Dulcinea; y [...] que estaba determinado de no parecer ante su fermosura hasta que hobiese hecho hazañas que le hiciesen digno de su gracia" (29:1).
Liking for scenes without too many characters.
Don Quixote and Sancho's gestures are remarkable.
Good use of different kind of engraving: burin in figures (see gleams in don Quixote's armour and shirt), etching in details (landscape) and stipple (faces).
