There are 17 chapter illustrations designed by Jules Worms and engraved by Ricardo de los Ríos and a vignette designed by J. W. (Jules Worms) and engraved by F. S., which is used twice per volume as an emblem in the title pages. These are not the same etchings by Ricardo de los Ríos appeared in London: Nimmo & Bain, 1880.
