Illustrations: Contains a portrait of Cervantes designed by Jean-Paul Laurens after Alonso del Arco's painting (although in the illustration it is said after Juan de Jáuregui's) and engraved by Ricardo de los Ríos. There are 17 chapter illustrations designed by Jules Worms and engraved by Ricardo de los Ríos and a vignette designed by J. W. (Jules Worms) and engraved by F. S., which is used twice per volume as an emblem in the title pages. These are not the same etchings by Ricardo de los Ríos appeared in London: Nimmo & Bain, 1880. "Las láminas que adornan esta edición son hermosos aguafuertes del notable artista español R. de los Ríos" (Río y Rico).
