Ashbee refers to one portrait engraved by Blanchard + one title-vignette + one frontis ("Don mounted, followed by Sancho; above are the figures of folly and Cupid; to right, Dulcinea; to left, in background, a windmill") + 12 illustrations engraved by Villerey (only three signed) after J. Rivelles' designs (Madrid: Imprenta Real, 1819). "The engraving is unequal, the signed ones being superior to the others" (Ashbee). Río y Rico only refers to one portrait engraved by Geoffroy + one title-vignette + 12 illustrations engraved by Villerey. Title-vignette and illustrations re-printed for Paris: Baudry, 1840 and 1850; in these editions Cervantes' portrait engraved by Geoffroy.

It was re-printed after Paris: Hiard, 1832. It has 11 illus. (vols. I - VII) about Cervantes' Don Quixote, and five illustrations (vols. VII - X) about Saint-Martin's Continuation.
