Commentary When Ginés de Pasamonte steals Sancho´s donkey, the squire gets so sad, that don Quixote promises to give him a letter of exchange ordering three out of five ass-colts that he had at home to be given to him.

Notes The textutal reference to this illustration did not appear in 1605 Princeps, but it was added by Cervantes to correct the appearances and disappearances of Sancho´s donkey.
