Commentary Two different scenes in the same illustration:
In the foreground, don Antonio Moreno shows the enchanted head to don Quixote, Sancho, his wife and some friends. Accurate to Cervantes' text, the head has the shape of a Roman bust.
In the background, a previous scene: don Quixote in Barcelona with a parchment on his back and his name written in it.
Rich and bourgeois setting.
Notes 1 - Same plate engraved for Paris: Barbin, 1681.
2 - Copy after Amberes: Verdussen, 1672-1673.
