Commentary First reference to the discourse of don Quixote about the ideal knight; a knight has to be known because of his deeds, in such a way that, arriving to a city, the children will surround him and follow him.
Good example of Johannot's interest in illustrating don Quixote's fantasies, in keeping with Romanticism liking.
