Commentary During his penance in Sierra Morena, don Quixote continues remembering stories of famous Knights Errants; in this case, how Amadis of Gaul retired to the Pena Pobre in company with a hermit.
The figure of the hermit (more like a venerable monk) is quite remarkable; see also the shading, creating interesting black and white contrasts.
