Commentary | This scene is an almost perfect and turned copy after Navarro's illustration (Madrid: Sancha, 1797 - 1798); don Quixote is healed by the daughter of the innkeeper's wife, to whom Sancho is saying that he has an arm hurt too, while Maritornes observes them.
Johannot changed the figure of the daughter notably, much more young and beautiful. |
