Commentary Dorotea tells her story to the priest, the barber and Cardenio; one night, don Fernando entered her room begging for her love.
The scene is quite theatrical and has a clear Romantic sense; the gestures of the figures, although theatrical, are good, specially Dorotea's.
Notes 1 - Reprint of the original lithograph (Mexico: Masse y Decaen; I. Cumplido, 1842) after Johannot's design (Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37).
