Commentary Detailed portrait of the Knight of the Mirrors' squire (Tomé Cecial); drawing has been carefully done; the most remarkable part of the portrait, accurate to Cervantes' text, is the fake big nose; "corva en la mitad y toda llena de verrugas, de color amoratado, como de berenjena; bajábale dos dedos más abajo de la boca; cuya grandeza, color, verrugas y encorvamiento así le afeaban el rostro" (14:2).
Notes 1 - Reprint of the original lithograph (Mexico: Masse y Decaen; I. Cumplido, 1842) after Johannot's design (Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37).
