Commentary | Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657); Johannot/Heredia has limited the scene to don Quixote, ready to attack, and the lion in its cage; neither Sancho, nor don Diego, nor the carter, nor the lionkeeper appear.
