Commentary | At night, during dinner, don Quixote begins his speech about arms and letters.
Cervantes gives a very detailed description of the distribution of characters around the table (don Quixote, Micomicona, Luscinda, Zoraida, Cardenio, don Fernando, the captive, the barber and the priest), but Johannot/Heredia do not follow it in a very accurate way (only placing don Quixote at the head of the table with Dorotea by his side). |
