Commentary | Centrifugal composition (more movement) where don Quixote is the center and the other figures form a "V".
On the left, the innkeeper and others; on the right, Sancho, the broken theater and others. Maese Pedro appears from inside the theater and his servant running away. Theatrical and baroque composition; all the characters are placed looking at the viewer and before a big curtain (backdrop). Drawing and engraving are quite remarkable. |
