Commentary Reference to the dialogue between Sansón Carrasco and don Quixote about the publication of his adventures.
Excellent portrait of the Moorish writer Cide Hamete Benengeli; the most relevant parts (face and hands) have been carefully drawn, while clothes and setting are just sketched.
Notes 1 - Acceptable copy after Tony Johannot's illustration for Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37.
2 - In 1836 edition, this illustration appears in chapter 2:2 (p. 28) referring to the dialogue between Sancho and don Quixote; in the current edition it has been moved to chapter 3:2, losing its original meaning.
