Commentary Don Quixote hanging completely by his hands tied to a window because Rocinante has gone away to smell the mares of the newly-arrived travelers (servants of don Luis' father).
Well-known scene; Lalauze, to be more original, is less accurate (don Quixote should appear hung by one hand only, not two).
Excellent drawing and engraving; picturesque and detailed setting.
