Commentary | Doña Rodríguez, wearing a pair of spectacles and holding a candle, visits don Quixote in his room at night; when she discovers him standing up on his bed, wrapped in his blanket and bandaged, they scare each other believing they are ghosts.
Cruikshank's personal caricature style is absolutely remarkable; notice the expressions of both figures, full of fine humor. |
