Commentary | Appearance of a triumphal cart with Merlin, in black robes (should be as Death), Dulcinea and surrounded by penitents in white and holding lighted torches.
The figure of Dulcinea is especially remarkable; detailed, with a rich dress and resolved with elegance and beauty; however, according to Cervantes' text, she should be a male servant disguised. Excellent drawing and engraving and coloring; remarkable illustration. |
