Commentary After attacking the flock of sheep, don Quixote begins to be stoned by the shepherds and drinks Fierabrás' balsam to relieve the pain.
One stone "flies" towards his face (the stone will break his teeth and his alcuza).
Don Quixote remains impassive surrounded by shepherds and sheep; some sheep are dead; in the background, Sancho Panza.
Good drawing and remarkable engraving.
Notes 1 - Being lost A. Blanco's original plate from this set (after the illus. in Madrid: Ibarra, 1782), Ch. W. Sherborn re-engraved it in an exact manner in 1893.
