Commentary | In the foreground, Sancho being blanketed in the courtyard of Juan Palomeque's inn; don Quixote observes the scene, unable to help his squire, from behind the inn wall.
Well-known scene and composition, with little novelty. Remarkable drawing and engraving; notice the faces and expressions of the men, some of them are excellent caricatures; one is looking at the viewer directly. |
