Commentary | When don Quixote tries to whip Sancho, who was sleeping, the squire fights with his master and defeats him (continuation of the previous illustration).
Despite the small size of the vignette, Sancho's gesture and expression are perfectly resolved. Notice don Quixote's expression too: "¿Cómo, traidor? ¿Contra tu amo y señor natural te desmandas? ¿Con quien te da su pan te atreves?" (60:2). |
