Commentary | Reference to the dialogue between the priest and the innkeeper about chivalric books; don Cirongilio of Thrace flings himself upon a fiery serpent to squeeze its throat and the serpent sinks into a river.
This kind of imaginative images are quite in keeping with Romanticism and Doré's taste. Good drawing and engraving. |
