Commentary | After the hunt and the appearance of Merlin, the Duke, the Duchess and don Quixote return to the palace.
Doré has selected a very specific instant at dawn -"se venía a más andar el alba, alegre y risueña" (35:2)-, so the light effects have been carefully drawn and engraved. It is also remarkable the representation of the servants carrying the wild boar, blowing horns, the hunting dogs... |
