Commentary | Sancho Panza, in the center of the composition, gesticulates while three servants, by doctor Pedro Recio's order, take away the most delicious dishes.
Pedro Recio is dressed in a ridiculous manner. Suitable scene for Coypel's style: many servants (forming a semicircle), rich architecture, chandelier, curtains, clothes... Unfinished/deficient engraving. |
Notes | 1 - Plate nÂș 17.
2 - Copied after Coypel's designs appeared in La Haye: Gosse & Moetjens, 1744 (and later editions). |
