Commentary | Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657).
Don Quixote begins to do some love penance (jumping in a very modest way; his shirt covers him perfectly) before Sancho leaves with Rocinante towards El Toboso to take don Quixote's letter to Dulcinea. Don Quixote's arms hanged on a tree. Sancho's figure with dignity. |
Notes | 1 - This scene was not represented in Madrid: Ibarra, 1780.
2 - Wrongly-placed in chapter 21:1; it belongs to 25:1. |
