	Commentary	Cervantes' portrait in a frame with several symbols about his life as a soldier (sword, lance, shield), about pastoral literature (crook, basket, syrinx) and about Don Quixote (Cupid holding a jester scepter and a barber basin, a windmill). Good drawing and engraving.
	Notes	1 - Process reproduction of portrait published in Paris: Delongchamps, 1824. 2 - Cushing owns a copy of this original engraving in Paris: Ledoyen, 1830. 3 - "... Choquet, al dibujar la imagen del autor del Quijote, pinta, sin saberlo, bajo la influencia de un ambiente que está a mil leguas de la tradición clásica. Ese Cervantes suyo, mucho más joven que los anteriores, con el pelo negrísimo y medio ensortijado, los ojos grandes y melancólicos, la tez casi negra y el bigote y la barba ralos y lacios, no tiene nada de europeo: es un personaje africano" (Givanel 35).
