Commentary | Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657); it lacks novelty.
At dawn, four travelers (servants of don Luis' father) arrive at the inn and find don Quixote tied by his hand to an inn window. Rocinante begins to smell one of their mares and makes don Quixote lose his balance. Drawing and engraving are acceptable, but without too much quality. |
Notes | 1 - Despite the inscription "Bernardo Barranco delt.", it is a copy after José Brunete's illustration for Madrid: Ibarra, 1780. |
