Commentary | Before Governor Sancho, accompanied by his secretary and majordomo (?), a tailor shows five little hoods, one on each finger; also the accusing farmer.
Original choice; in previous editions it has been represented the judgement between the woman and the man accused of rape, and the judgement of the hidden money. It has been represented the most funny moment: when the tailor shows the five little hoods. Drawing and engraving are acceptable, but poor. |
Notes | 1 - Despite the inscription "Antonio Carnicero delt.", it is a copy after Isidro and Antonio Carnicero's illustration for Madrid: Ibarra, 1782; some details (inscription on the wall) have not been copied or changed (tailor's figure). |
