Commentary After being hanged by one hand, don Quixote "subió sobre Rocinante, embrazó su adarga, enristró su lanzón, y, tomando buena parte del campo, volvió a medio galope" (44:1).
Don Quixote appears well-drawn and engraved in the foreground, while, in the background, several figures remain sketched (the innkeeper, four travelers...).
