Commentary In Sierra Morena, don Quixote sleeps mounted on Rocinante and Sancho on his saddle on four stakes without noticing that Ginés de Pasamonte has stolen his donkey.
Acceptable drawing, but not remarkable.
Notes 1 - Copy after Tony Johannot's design (Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37); setting has been newly added.
2 - The copy was done after Joaquín Heredia's lithograph for Mexico: Ignacio Cumplido, 1842.
