Commentary | Accurate to Cervantes' text, don Quixote is asleep, in shirt, with a night cap on his head and attacking the wineskins with his sword (he should have his arm wrapped with a blanket too).
Also in the scene, Sancho, looking for the giant's head, the innkeeper Juan Palomeque and the priest. Well-resolved figures and remarkable coloring; notice the light and shadow effects. |
