Commentary Sansón Carrasco proposes don Quixote to be his squire, which causes Sancho´s sadness; well represented action through gestures.
Cervantes says nothing about the presence of the housekeeper and the niece in this moment; They both have been included because of a later reference: "Las maldiciones que las dos, Ama y Sobrina echaran al Bachiller, no tuvieron cuento" (7:2).
Well-copied expressions from the original; the angry housekeeper, the calming don Quixote, and the sad Sancho.
Notes 1 - Very good copy after Bernardo Barranco and Francisco Muntaner's illustration (Madrid: Ibarra, 1780).
