Commentary Don Quixote, asleep and with a blanket around his left arm, attacks the wineskins; the innkeeper, the priest, Sancho and the barber enter the room.
Light and shadow effects are remarkable (from innkeeper's lamp); don Quixote well-lighted; innkeeper in shade.
Notes 1 - Same plate first engraved for London: William Miller, 1801.
2 - Perfect and detailed copy after Antonio Carnicero and Manuel Salvador y Carmona's illustration (Madrid: Ibarra, 1780).
