Commentary | Don Quixote hits Sancho, already fallen on the ground, because the squire has preferred Micomicona's beauty to Dulcinea's.
Micomicona (Dorotea) prevents don Quixote from keeping punishing Sancho. Also the priest, the barber, disguised as Micomicona's page with a fake beard, and Cardenio. Micomicona's figure and movement are very remarkable. Drawing, shading and engraving are excellent; detailed figures and setting; good gestures and expressions; remarkable style. |
