Commentary Two different scenes in the same plate:
The first one, in the background: Duchess' page finds Teresica Panza, Sancho's daughter, and she leads him to her house.
The second one, in the foreground: the page handing letters and presents (a string of pearls) to Teresa Panza, who holds a tow ball (accurate to Cervantes' text); also Teresica, barefoot.
Drawing, shading and engraving are excellent; detailed figures and setting; good gestures and expressions; remarkable style.
Notes 1 - Good precedent for the illustration in London: Tonson, 1738.
