Commentary | The bojiganga steals Sancho's donkey while the squire goes to don Quixote's assistance (falling with Rocinante in the background).
In the cart, the actors of Angulo el Malo's company for the Cortes de la Muerte (Devil, Cupid, Death, Angel, Emperor, Queen, and Soldier). Notice a crude detail: Sancho's donkey is "doing what no one could do for him". Drawing, shading and engraving are excellent; detailed figures and setting (notice the landscape with widmills and cities); good gestures; remarkable style. |
