Commentary | Well-known scene resolved with a basic composition; all the main characters in the foreground (Sancho, Pedro Recio, two pages and three witnesses) and without almost setting (just a curtain in the background); the figures occupy the whole illustration.
Sancho and Pedro Recio's figures are remarkable; Sancho richly dressed with a fur cloak and an orientalist turban; Pedro Recio reminds a jew, specially from Shakespeare's theater. |
