Commentary | Landscape with a cascade where don Quixote and Sancho will discover the fulling-mills; "dieron en un pradecillo, que al pie de unas altas peñas se hacía, de las cuales se precipitaba un grandísimo golpe de agua. Al pie de las peñas, estaban unas casas mal hechas, que más parecían ruinas de edificios, que casas, de entre las cuales advirtieron, que salía el ruido y estruendo" (20:1).
Johannot has represented these ruins/houses separated from the rush of water, but they should appear together. |
