	Commentary	Accurate representation of the place chosen by don Quixote to do his penance; "al pie de una alta montaña, que casi como peñón tajado estaba sola, entre otras muchas que la rodeaban. Corría por su falda un manso arroyuelo, y hacíale por todo su redondez, un prado tan verde y vicioso, que daba contento a los ojos que le miraban. Había por allí muchos arboles silvestres, y algunas plantas y flores, que hacían el lugar apacible" (25:1). Johannot, in keeping with Romanticism liking, uses the Spanish landscape as one more character; this kind of landscape (isolated, with high mountains...; linked to the sublime) is specially liked by Romanticism writers and painters.
